Robotics for kids 10-16

The constructions and programming of robots fascinate more and more students who carry out each project with undiminished interest. In an experiential way full of play, the concepts of Mathematics, Physics, Information Technology and Engineering are understood and assimilated, increasing children’s knowledge and skills. Also, group projects, collaboration and sharing concerns, give children the opportunity to learn to encourage each other, thus increasing their self-confidence.

Children gradually begin to learn more complex construction techniques, using gears to accelerate and decelerate, axles to transfer energy from different parts of the construction to others, and sensors for distance, color and touch. With the Lego Mindstorms EV3 and SPIKE PRIME educational series, they begin to familiarize themselves with basic programming techniques and with concepts such as variables, logical statements, iteration, etc.

With the help of a programming language, students give their robot commands for various actions and work on projects inspired by educational robotics competitions. The course lasts 2 hours, once a week. In each lesson, children are divided into groups of two, with up to 10 children participating.
